Developing offshore wind power not only contributes to the low-carbon transition of energy but also enhances energy security. Over the past decade, global offshore wind power has experienced rapid growth, with an average annual increase of 21%. According to the Global Wind Energy Council, offshore wind power capacity across 32 regional markets is expected to expand by more than 380 GW over the next decade. Plans for large-scale offshore wind development exist on every continent except Antarctica. In the coming decade, a significant share of new offshore wind capacity will come from Asia-Pacific countries.
